In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her daughter, yoga, skiing, gardening, antiquing, and reading. Schwartz has also lectured to attorneys on the use of the internet and presented at the National Judicial College.
She counts as one of her proudest moments her work in helping to shape new law making HMOs responsible for enforcing policies that deprive proper care to patients in need. She is admitted to the bar of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Columbia, has practiced in all three and holds a certification in mediation. Schwartz practiced law at a few other firms in the Philadelphia area in the fields of medical malpractice, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.
